Understanding and Utilizing Child and Family and Child Medical Evaluations

This seminar is for Child Protective Services social workers and other professionals concerned with investigation of child maltreatment and neglect. The following topics will be covered:

• Understanding the differences between a Child Medical Examination (CME) and a Child and Family Evaluation (CFE)
• Developing referral questions and understanding report content
• Preparing children and families for evaluations
• Referral procedures
